Jean-Christophe Mitterrand, the son of the late French president [Francois Mitterrand], leaves Paris's la Sante prison after his family helped pay bail of 5 million francs ($715,000) to end his detention on suspicion of arms trafficking. Mitterrand had spent three weeks in the jail after initially refusing to pay the "exhorbitant" bail posted. He faces allegations of complicity in arms traffficking, influence peddling and embezzlement in relation to large sales of Russian arms to Angola in the 1990's.
