MONGOLIAN IN GACHUURT CASTS VOTE INTO PORTABLE BALLOT BOX OUTSIDE HIS RANGE DURING ELECTION.
A Mongolian herder casts his vote into a portable ballot box as an election official looks on outside his range in the rural areas of Gachuurt, around 40 kms east of capital Ulan Bator during a parliamentary election JUly 2. The election official carried the ballot box around remote areas to collect votes. Mongolians galloped across the steppes to polling booths on Sunday to vote in the election that is expected to bring former Communist rulers back to power.
