Panama Canal workers clean up crude oil spilled by a Greek-flagged tanker, the Neapolis, during a routine transit of one of the waterway's three sets of locks, January 25, 2001. The Panama Canal Authority's (ACP) Emergency and Contingencies Division detained the vessel in one of the upper chambers of the Pedro Miguel locks overnight January 24 to contain the spillage, partially blocking the waterway.
