Head of the defence, Francois Roux, looks on at the start of a hearing at the special international tribunal...
Head of the defence, Francois Roux, looks on at the start of a hearing at the special international tribunal for Lebanon in Leidschendam February 7, 2011. The U.N.-backed special tribunal is set up in 2009 to try those behind a 2005 bombing that killed Lebanese statesman Rafik al-Hariri and 22 others. The hearing is set to take place to debate legal issues, such as how to define the crime of terrorism and how to apply Lebanese and international law. The tribunal is at the heart of a dispute between Lebanon's outgoing Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri and Shi'ite movement Hezbollah, which says the court will accuse some of its members in the 2005 killing. Hezbollah repeatedly denied involvement in the assassination of Rafik al-Hariri. REUTERS/Valerie Kuypers/ANP POOL (NETHERLANDS - Tags: POLITICS CIVIL UNREST CRIME LAW)
