Dr. Herbert Kroemer (L), professor of electrical engineering and Alan Heeger (R), professor of Physics at the University of California in Santa Barbara are two of the six scientists honoured with the Nobel Physics and Chemistry prizes on October 10, 2000. Kroemer won the Physics prize while Heeger won the Chemistry prize.
