MEMBERS OF THE CHRISTIANSTEEN ARTILLERY COMPANY FIRE HISTORIC RIFLES IN
TRONDHEIM.
Members of the 1718 Christiansteen Artillery Company, an association of
volunteers who wear historic uniforms and arms, stand to attention as
fellow members behind them fire their rifles in downtown Trondheim May
25, 2002, as part of the official festivities for yesterday's wedding
of Norwegian Princess Martha Louise and her husband Ari Behn. The
uniforms are replicas of those used during the great Nordic war
(1770-1721), when Sweden faced a coalition of enemies - Denmark,
Brandenburg, Saxony, Poland, Russia and the British Empire.
