- FILE PHOTO 08SEP01 - shows Colombian Fabio Ochoa, pictured in Envigado, high-profile patriarch of a family containing several of Colombia's most famous drug lords and the man who helped negotiate the surrender of cocaine [king Pablo Escobar], died February 18, 2002 from a kidney infection, relatives said. Don Fabio, as the 77-year old Ochoa was respectfully known, fathered the three Ochoa brothers members of a group of drug barons self-dubbed the "Extraditables" who in the 1980s and 1990s waged a bloody battle against extradition to the United States along with the late drug kingpin Escobar. Picture taken on September 8, 2001.
