Akhlas will seek to appeal his conviction, his lawyer said on Monday. Akhlas was one of five men convicted and sentenced to hang for their role in the second of two attempts on the Musharraf's life in December 2003. The military released news of the convictions last Friday after the five - one trooper and four civilians - were found guilty by a military court in Attock Fort, 146 km (91 miles) west of Islamabad.
