BIRD OF PREY WITH OIL SOAKED CATCH FLIES OVER POLLUTED BEACH IN
KARACHI.
A large bird of prey called a kite carrying an oil-soaked catch (C)
tries to dodge two others over Karachi's polluted Clifton beach on
August 26, 2003. Pakistani authorities raced against time to drain the
grounded Greek oil tanker Tasman Spirit which leaked more crude oil on
Tuesday raising fears of another major spill. The tanker has spilled
over 15,000 tonnes of crude into the sea, killing marine life and
polluting Karachi's 16 km (10 mile) long coast line. REUTERS/Zahid
