Dutch ambassador to Panama Wiebe de Boer speaks to the media after an intensive three day search of the mountains by the Panama police for two Dutch women who went missing, in the Boquete district April 14, 2014. Lisanne Froon, 22, and Kris Kremers, 21, reportedly went missing on April 1 in Boquete, located in the Chiriqui province, after setting out on a hike. The tourists were in Panama studying Spanish and were reported missing by their host families. According to Arturo Alvarado, general director of the National Civil Protection Service, the local authorities have not found clues to the women's whereabouts after fourteen days, which includes three days of intensive searching. The search will now continue with a different strategy. According to local media reports, a reward amounting to $2,500 has been offered for any clues.
