Guarani Indian family defends themselves from capuchin monkeys in Asuncion
A Guarani Indian family defends themselves from capuchin monkeys, which attacked them at the Plaza Uruguay square where they have been camping for the past seven months, in Asuncion January 3, 2012. According to organisers, more than 380 families from different villages have been living in the square as a move to pressure the government, led by Paraguay's President Fernando Lugo, into granting them ownership of a plot of land measuring over 7,000 hectares, where they hope to establish themselves as one community. The monkeys were being offered for sale to pedestrians and became aggressive after escaping from a cage. REUTERS/Jorge Adorno (PARAGUAY - Tags: ANIMALS POLITICS CIVIL UNREST)
