WORKER PROTESTS OUTSIDE TV STATION IN LIMA.
A worker holding a Peruvian flag with the word "Justice" written on it protests outside Frecuencia Latina TV station, December 6, 2000. An Israeli-born media mogul Baruch Ivcher, stripped of Peruvian nationality in 1997 after he fell afoul of ex-president Alberto Fujimori, returned to Peru hoping to regain control of his once-outspoken TV station. His case was seen as one of Peru's most notorious rights abuses and his return to Peru marked another political about-turn for this nation as an interim government repealed scores of controversial decrees passsed by Fujimori.
