Seminarians of Saint Augustine Minor Seminary (SASMI) play guitars during their free time on the veranda of their dormitory in Calapan city, on Mindoro island February 21, 2013. There is a continuing decline of priesthood in the Philippines, among the reasons for which are church scandals and the abuses of some priests worldwide, according to a video by a seminarian who was leaving SASMI after six years. Seminarians are now afraid of not being able to remain faithful, chaste and celibate and live up to the standards of priesthood. Yet, they believe that scandals are contradictory to what it means to become a priest and that those with a genuine vocation to serve God will be able to overcome all temptation.
