A FILIPINO BOY PLAY WITH A PUSH TOY IN JOLO IN SOUTHERN PHILIPPINES.
A Filipino boy plays with a push toy as he passes by armed Moslem pro-government militiamen who are waiting for the outcome of government negotiations with the fundamentalist Abu Sayyaf rebels in Talipao town in Jolo island in southern Philippines April 30. Islamic gunmen holding 21 hostages in the southern Philippines made fresh demands for their release, a Philippine government emissary said. Hostages including 10 foreign tourists were kidnapped from a Malaysian dive resort last week and taken to an interior part of Jolo island, up in rugged hilly territory.
