A woman hits a suspected thief with her shoe inside a jeepney on the way to police headquarters after he tried to steal her cellphone during a residents' protest in Antipolo, 30 kilometres east of Manila January 14, 2001. Hundreds of Antipolo residents tried to block garbage trucks from going to a landfill that was temporarily opened to resolve Manila's rubbish problem.
