Filipino children take a rest between school desks at the government-run San Jose Elementarry School which has been turned into an evacuation centre in Maliliput town February 23. More than 4,000 villagers have evacuated foot hill villages in the area to escape the possible eruption of the majestic Mayon volcano. Mayon has had a history of violent eruptions, the deadliest occuring in 1814 when more than 1200 people were killed by flaming volcanic ash.
