Victims of sexual abuse by priests speak outside the Vatican Embassy in Washington
Victims of sexual abuse by priests, Becky Ianni (C), and David Lorenz (R) of U.S.-based Survivor Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP), speak as Michelle Linnen (L) looks on outside the Vatican Embassy in Washington, DC, March 25, 2010. Ianni said she was sexually abused from ages 9-11 and Lorenz was sexually abused at age 16 in Kentucky. Ianni and Lorenz called for Pope to release the records of clergy sex crimes from 2001-2005. The Vatican's chief prosecutor for such cases told an Italian Catholic newspaper this month that Church courts tried only about 20 percent of such cases secretly referred to Rome. About 60 percent of them ended with only internal sanctions. REUTERS/Hyungwon Kang (UNITED STATES - Tags: CRIME LAW RELIGION)
