POPE JOHN PAUL II AND EHUD BARAK IN YAD VASHEM MEMORIAL VISIT.
Prime Minister Ehud Barak looks upward as he and Pope John Paul II stand during a touching moment in a ceremony at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial where the Pope paid his respects to the six-million Jews exterminated by the Nazis during World War II. The Pope laid a wreath in memory of the six million in the "Hall of Remembrances", met with Holocaust survivors and delivered a speech where he expressed heartfelt grief for centuries of Christian persecution of Jews.
