A giant screen displays Pope John Paul II as he arrives for a May Day mass as part of the worker's Jubilee on the outskirts of Rome May 1. A May Day concert which organizers tagged as a mega-party and expect up to 600,000 people to attend the day-long-event, kicks off with the Papal mass and later headlines Lou Reed and the Eurythmics.
