Zimbabwean farmer and bird breeder Danie Swart lands a Tiger Fish (
hydrocynus vittatis ) on the second day of the three day Kariba
International Tiger Fish Tournament October 2, 2003. Swart, who fishes
for Zimbabwe, has been in the winning team 7 times and finished in the
top ten 20 times in the 42 year annual tournament of the world's
largest single species four man freshwater angling competition. 180
teams from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana and the
United Kingdom competed in the event on the 250 Km long man made Lake
Kariba catching a total of 3052 fish weighing 6,4 tonnes.
