ARCHAEOLOGISTS ASSESS THE DAMAGE TO A 500 YEAR OLD MINARET IN AHMEDABAD.
Archaeologists from New Delhi assess the damage done to two 600-year-old minarets called the 'Sidi Bashir Minar' in Ahmedabad, February 3, 2001. The intricately carved minarets, which developed severe cracks during the earthquake that ravaged the western Indian state of Gujarat, were built in the 15th century as the entrance to a mosque.
