A Falun Gong follower medidates on a street before joining a protest
march in Hong Kong March 10, 2002. The banned spiritual movement staged
a takeover of state television in the Chinese city of Changchun last
Tuesday where its founder was born, interrupting shows on several
channels and transmitting a film protesting the government crackdown on
the group, state-run media reported. The Falun Gong say more than 1,600
followers have died as a result of police abuse and torture.
