Pope John Paul II is welcomed by unidentified local bishops upon his arrival at New Delhi's airport during an unofficial welcoming ceremony November 5. The 79-year-old Pontiff arrived in India for a two day visit clouded by a controversy over evangelisation in Hindu-majority India.
