Representatives of Japanese retailers and Internet investors pose for cameras following a joint news conference in Tokyo January 12. The group said they would launch the nation's first "Internet Supermarket", hoping the Web will help revive the sagging fortunes of the country's retail sector. They will begin services under the name e-Convenience Co Ltd in the Tokyo area from April, taking online orders for quick delivery to homes and offices.
