Robot and communication equipment maker Tescom's salesperson Rieko Higa adjusts the gloves on 'Almites' the robot to demonstrate its boxing punch like high speed at an international robot exhibition in Tokyo October 28. Computer-controlled Almites' arms can move up and down, sideways, and back and forth for high-precision work. The company hopes to further develop Almites for future utilisation in landmine removal operations.
