Rescued wild horses from Letea forest of Danube Delta region in eastern Romania, one of the last wild horses areas in Europe, is seen at a farm near Braila, 210 km (130 miles) northeast of Bucharest May 22, 2011. Authorities stopped the transport of about 50 wild horses to be slaughtered as part of an investigation into a case that has outraged animal protection groups. The wild horses, part of them initially abandoned by locals, were taken to be slaughter after local authorities said they were destroying the Letea forest.
