Newly-renovated public fountains are seen during celebrations marking 555 years since the first historical mention of Romania's capital, in downtown Bucharest September 19, 2014. Bucharest's name first appeared in a document dated September 20, 1459, and signed by prince Vlad the Impaler, a Wallachian medieval ruler who later inspired Bram Stoker's famous gothic character Dracula.
