The Solitaire construction ship (top), that lays down an underwater natural gas pipeline, is seen in the Gulf of Finland, some 200 km (124 miles) west of St.Petersburg, September 20, 2010. Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Monday during a visit, that construction work on the Nord Stream undersea gas pipeline is on schedule and may begin operations in 2011, according to local media.
