Kostik, an Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis), also known as the Far Eastern leopard, Korean leopard and the Manchurian leopard, growls in his enclosure at the Royev Ruchey zoo in a suburb of Russia's Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk August 7, 2012. Kostik was brought to the zoo to take part in a breeding programme. According to zoo employees there are 25-35 Amur leopards remaining in the wild, making it one of the most endangered species of large cats in the world.
