A view of the Beryozovsky opencast colliery in Krasnoyarsk region
The coal face is seen from the top of a Soviet-made rotary dredge with the productivity rate of 5,250 tons of processed coal a day at the Beryozovsky opencast colliery, near the Siberian town of Sharypovo in Krasnoyarsk region, Russia, May 26, 2015. The Beryozovsky colliery mine is the only one in Russia, which applies a special 15-kilometre-long conveyor instead railway trains and freight trucks for the transportation of coal from the colliery to a bunker. The colliery belongs to the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) and produces about 7 million tons of coal a year, according to an official representative of the company. Picture taken May 26, 2015.
