A crew member of the Russian space station Mir Nikolai Budarin displays two Orthodox icons of St Anastasia, blessed by both Russian Orthodox Patriarch Alexii II and Pope John Paul II, during a communication session at Russia's space command centre near Moscow on July 25. The religious leaders had chosen the image of St Anastasia -- known as a patron of Serbs, Bosnians and Croats -- to be sent to space as a symbolic wish of peace to the peoples of war torn Bosnia.
