Russian cargo jumbo aircraft AN-124 Ruslan stands February 8, 2001 in Ulyanovsk waiting to be reconstructed into a flying launch pad for space satellites up to 3500 kg. Four Ruslans are due to cut orbiting costs and provide ecologically friendly launch conditions for the 100-tonne two stage launch vehicle.
