The world's first two bottlenose dolphins conceived through artificial
insemination using frozen-then-thawed semen were born recently at SeaWorld
in San Diego.T he mother of baby Mcguire, Toby is seen here at Sea World in
San Diego July 21, 2003. Mcguire was born May 18, 2003 from the sperm of a
male bottlenose dolphin at the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program. Baby Charlie
was born to mother Purina 12 days later, both dolphins weighed 40 to 45lbs
