BOY WATCHES BABY SEA TURTLES IN AQUARIUM AY SEA WORLD IN SAN DIEGO.
A young boy watches a three-inch long baby green sea turtle swimming in
an aquarium at Sea World in San Diego July 2, 2003. For the first time
in Sea World San Diego's 39-year history aquarists have successfully
incubated and hatched green sea turtles. In April parks aquarists
discovered a female turtle had dug a pit and depositited 105 eggs.
Aquarists collected the eggs and incubated them in coral sand over a
water bath, 65 days later 21 were born. Six of the turtles can now be
viewed by the public at the park. REUTERS/Mike Blake
