SEA TURTLES SWIM NEAR SHIPWRECK RAPIDS AT SEA WORLD IN SAN DEIGO.
A group of adult green sea turtles swim near sea trutle beach at Sea
World in San Diego July 2, 2003. For the first time in Sea World San
Diego's 39-year history aquarists have successfully incubated and
hatched green sea turtles. In April parks aquarists discovered a female
turtle had dug a pit and depositited 105 eggs at the man made beach.
Aquarists collected the eggs and incubated them in coral sand over a
water bath, 65 days later 21 were born. Six of the turtles can now be
viewed by the public at the park. REUTERS/Mike Blake
