A model for Sanyo Electric Co Ltd displays the Xacti DMX-C5, which the company claims is the world's smallest, thinnest, and lightest digital movie camera, at a launch in Tokyo March 1, 2005. Weighing 145g, the camera can take five megapixel still pictures while shooting video images. The camera goes on sale in Japan March 25 for 72,000 yen ($688), and will also be available on the market in other Asian and European areas simultaneously.
