German green party leadership member Hans Christian Stroebele of the German parliamentary investigation commission, which is investigating the Christian Democratic Party (CDU) illegal accounts scandal, enters Darmstadt-Weiterstadt prison, in which former French Elf manager Alfred Sirven is being held February 6, 2001. Sirven is awaiting extradition to France but German authorities are keen to speak to him about the German Christian Democratic Party (CDU) illegal accounts scandal. The extradition is scheduled for later today.
