Hard disk video recorder "Clip-On," developed by Sony Corp, is unveiled in Tokyo June 22. The high-power SVR-715 is capable of recording up to 20 hours with a built-in 30-gigabyte hard disk, achieving high-performance search and simultaneous replay and recording functions, Sony said. The digital video data is recorded into the hard disk, accepting Mpeg2 compression format, they said. The Clip-On will be on Japanese market in August at 198,000 yen ($1,900).
