More than 10,000 members of the militant labour union group, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), stage a rally at a park in central Seoul May 28. The union members were protesting against lay-offs and demanding a renegotiation of a package by the International Monetary Fund. The KCTU called a two-day strike on Wednesday.
