Unemployed South Korean men, members of the Hyundai Heavy Equipment Union, have their heads shaved to protest the loss of their jobs on the grounds of the Chogye Buddhist temple in Seoul August 26. The 300 former Hyundai employees have lived on the temple grounds for 43 days, trying to attract attention to their cause of being rehired by Hyundai. South Korea's jobless rate surged to a record high of a seasonally adjusted 8.6 percent in July.
