Pakistani pilgrims beat their backs with chains attached to wooden sticks as they mark the Shi'ite Ashura religious festival in Islamabad March 1, 2004. The last and tenth mourning day known as Ashura will be observed throughout the country on Tuesday to commemorate the anniversary of the death of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed, killed along with his 72 companions more then 13 centuries ago in Iraq.
