Young men in disguise kiss as they pose during the feast of Saint Paul in central Spain
A young man dressed as La Vaca (The Cow) kisses another dressed as Madre Cochina (The Mother Sow) while they pose for a friend during celebrations on the feast of Saint Paul, patron saint of San Pablo de los Montes, central Spain, January 25, 2008. The village used to be the scene for a celebration in which youths who had completed their military service that year ran around the town dressed as women, cowboys, sweepers and several other characters disrupting the religious procession with their cowbells. Nowadays there are no more conscripts in Spain since the military service is not mandatory, but the young men of the village follow the same tradition on the day of Saint Paul.
