A group of "Joaldunak" (Carriers of bells) parades to the tunes of the heavy bells, which they carry on their back, during carnival celebrations in Zubieta, February 1, 2011. Locals from the northern Navarran village and neighbouring Ituren, dressed up in bizarre and terrifying costumes, were creating mayhem and noise during the carnival to symbolise awakening the earth for the oncoming spring.
