Fighting bulls sprint up the final section towards the bull ring in the fourth "encierro", or running of the bulls, of the Fiesta de San Fermin July 10. Six fighting bulls are released into the barricaded city streets along with some steers each morning during the week-long "fiesta" as thousands of runners jockey to get close and run next to or in front of the wild animals for a part of the 900-meter (yard) course. The six bulls are killed the same afternoon in a [bullfight].
