- PHOTO TAKEN 04APR04 - Drug addicts stand in the main road (nicknamed "zombie row") of the shanty town of Las Barranquillas, outside Madrid, April 4, 2004. Known as Madrid's "drug supermarket", the slum has no electricity or running water and is populated mostly by drug addicts and scores of Gypsies. [Gypsies live an average 22 years less than a non-Gypsy Spaniard and barely 30 percent of the adult population are functionally literate. They are among Spain's most marginalised groups, with some 80,000 living in slums like Las Barranquillas. Picture taken April 4, 2004.]
