The body of a female north African immigrant, who died off the southern Spanish coast, lies on the beach near Tarifa, Spain, February 5, 2001. Some ten immigrants perished when their flimsy boat was hit by strong winds during their attempt to enter Spain from the coast of North Africa. The would-be immigrants, eight men, one woman and a child, were from the Maghreb region.
