A would-be immigrant waits at a Red Cross tent where he received treatment for injuries sustained while being transferred in a vehicle after being intercepted in a boat off the coast of Fuerteventura, the closest of Spain's Canary Islands to the African coast, January 9, 2006. Some 31 would-be immigrants aboard the make-shift boat were intercepted by Spanish civil guards to the port of Gran Tarajal where some received treatment for injuries sustained in a vehicle accident before arriving to Fuerteventura. Over 70 would-be immigrants were detained on Sunday aboard two separate boats in their bid to reach European soil from Africa. REUTERS/Juan Medina
