Renate Goetschl of Austria skis to the second fastest time in the first leg of the women's giant slalom event of the Alpine sking World Cup at the Great Arber mountain near the eastern Bavarian town of Zwiesel February 7, 2004. Anja Paerson of Sweden clocked the fastest time in one minute 8.57 seconds, followed by Renate Goetschl of Austria in one minute 9.18 seconds and Caroline Lalive of the United States in one minute 9.23 seconds.
