Newly named manager of the Toronto Blue Jays Buck Martinez stands by a photo of himself prior to a news conference November 3, 2000. Martinez, who was a catcher for the Blue Jays from 1981-86, signed a three year contract with the American League team. Martinez played 17 years in major leagues before becoming a colour commentator for Blue Jays television.
