the team's locker room after the Giants defeated the Arizona
Diamondbacks 2-1 in Phoenix, Arizona, August 30, 2003. Bonds hit his
653rd career home run off of Diamondbacks pitcher Randy Johnson during
the fourth inning. Bonds is seven home runs behind his godfather Willie
Mays, who is third on the all time home run list with 660. The game was
the first Bonds has played in since his father Bobby died on August 23.
